The team

White Rabbit Scientific Limited is a small team of highly talented scientists and engineers based in Palmerston North, New Zealand.

Dr. Rob Ward

scientist | engineer

Rob initially studied electronics before completing degrees in mathematics and physics and a PhD in NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance). He then completed a 5 year postdoc focusing upon high-temperature-high-pressure microfluidics. More recently he completed a further 2 year postdoc focused upon fast throughput measurements of gelling soft matter systems. Rob is now focused upon pressing forward with commercializing the products he has developed over the past 7 years.

Prof. Bill Williams

scientist

Martin A. K. (Bill) Williams did a degree in Astrophysics followed by a PhD in NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance). Thereafter he spend 4 years as a postdoc and a further 4 years working for Unilever before moving to New Zealand to set up a Soft-Matter research group focusing upon microrheology, optical tweezing, light scattering and microfluidics. Bill has published extensively and works collaboratively throughout New Zealand and across the globe.

Reuben Osborne

engineer

Reuben took an early interest in electronics and software whilst also excelling in STEM, and Design and Visual Communications. He was a finalist in the National Bright Sparks Electronics Competition, being highly commended as "Most Promising Person of the Year" (2013). He thereafter completed a degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering, receiving First Class Honours in 2020. Reuben is a highly gifted software and hardware engineer.

Our mission

We believe that you shouldn’t need to be a mechatronics engineer in order to perform meaningful scientific experiments in the microscopic realm.

Our mission is to make your job easier, to trip-sit your scientific journey down the scientific rabbit hole by providing precision-engineered hardware and software that just works.
